Day 01: Guwahati Airport / Railway Station – Shillong

(100 KM | Approx. 3 Hrs)

On arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, proceed by road to Shillong, popularly known as the “Scotland of the East.” En route, visit the scenic Umiam Lake (Barapani), a vast and serene reservoir surrounded by lush green hills. Optional water sports are available here at an additional cost.

Upon arrival in Shillong, check in at the hotel. In the evening, visit Police Bazaar, the city’s most vibrant and popular local market.
Overnight stay at Shillong.


Day 02: Shillong – Laitlum Canyons – Krang Suri Falls – Shillong

(115 KM | Approx. 4 Hrs per way)

After breakfast, proceed to the breathtaking Laitlum Canyons, known for their dramatic cliffs and panoramic valley views. Later, visit the stunning Krang Suri Falls, regarded as one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Meghalaya. You may enjoy swimming in the naturally formed pool or walk behind the waterfall to experience the cascading water up close.

After lunch, return to Shillong.
Overnight stay at Shillong.


Day 03: Shillong – Mawsynram – Mawphlang Sacred Forest – Shillong

(60 KM | Approx. 1.5 Hrs per way)

After breakfast, proceed to Mawsynram, officially recorded as one of the wettest places on Earth as per recent geological studies. The region is also known for its natural caves.

Later, visit the Mawphlang Sacred Grove, one of the largest sacred forests in Meghalaya, carefully preserved by the local Khasi community. Nothing may be taken out of the forest, as it is protected by local beliefs and deities. Visit the Khasi Model Village to experience traditional Khasi lifestyle.

In the evening, visit Elephant Falls before returning to the hotel.

Day 04: Shillong – Mawlynnong Village – Dawki – Cherrapunjee

(120 KM | Approx. 8 Hrs)

After breakfast, proceed to Mawlynnong Village, acclaimed as the cleanest village in Asia. This charming village is renowned for its cleanliness and natural beauty. Attractions include the Living Root Bridge and the unique natural phenomenon of a balancing boulder.

Thereafter, proceed to Dawki, located along the Indo–Bangladesh border. Enjoy a boat ride (direct payment) on the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River.

In the evening, continue the journey to Cherrapunjee (Sohra).
Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee.

Important Note:
Sohra (Cherrapunjee) and Dawki are destinations of exceptional natural beauty and are ideal for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts. However, these areas have limited infrastructure and basic amenities. Even the best available hotels are equivalent to basic 3-star standards and may not offer facilities such as air-conditioning, fans, or lifts. Accommodations generally provide clean rooms, hygienic bathrooms, and basic meals. Vegetarian food options are limited.


Day 05: Cherrapunjee – Local Sightseeing

Wake up early to experience the misty and mesmerizing mornings of Cherrapunjee. Proceed for local sightseeing covering Eco Park, Nohkalikai Falls, Nohsngithiang Falls (Seven Sisters Falls), Mawsmai Cave, and Thangkharang Park.

Return to the hotel.
Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee.

Optional Activity:
Full-day trek to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge at Nongriat Village. The trek involves approximately 3,200 steps each way. From the Double Decker Root Bridge, you may further trek to Rainbow Falls, which takes about 60–90 minutes.


Day 06: Cherrapunjee – Guwahati

(160 KM | Approx. 5 Hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Guwahati. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Visit Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, a cultural complex showcasing Assamese heritage and traditions. You may also visit the Assam Film Museum to explore the history of Assamese cinema.

Later, visit GTAC Tea Lounge to enjoy a cup of premium Assam Tea and shop for varieties such as Organic, CTC, Orthodox, Green, White, and Purple Tea.

In the evening, you may opt for a Brahmaputra River Cruise (direct payment). You may also explore the local markets, famous for Assam Silk (especially Golden Muga Silk), Assam Tea, bamboo, and cane products.
Overnight stay at Guwahati.


Day 07: Guwahati – Airport / Railway Station

After breakfast, visit the sacred Kamakhya Temple
(Temple Timings: 08:00 AM – 01:00 PM & 03:00 PM till evening).

Later, transfer to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.

Note:
In case of early morning departure, Kamakhya Temple may be covered on Day 06 instead of Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra. We recommend opting for an evening flight or train to allow additional sightseeing on the day of departure.
