LADAKH EXPEDITION WITH NUBRA & PANGONG

Route: Leh (3N) | Nubra Valley (1N) | Pangong Lake (1N)
Places Covered: Leh – Sham Valley – Khardung La Pass – Nubra Valley (Hunder) – Pangong Lake – Chang La Pass
Day 1: Arrival in Leh | Local Sightseeing
On arrival at Leh Airport, meet our representative and transfer to your hotel. Check-in and rest for acclimatization.
In the late afternoon (around 4:00 PM), proceed to:
Shanti Stupa – A white-domed Buddhist stupa offering panoramic views of Leh
Leh Palace – Former royal palace overlooking Leh town
Leh Market – Explore local shopping for Pashmina shawls, apricot products, Tibetan handicrafts, Ladakhi ornaments, rugs, and carpets
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Important Note: Leh is located at approx. 4,000 meters above sea level. Complete rest is strongly recommended on the first day to help your body acclimatize.
Day 2: Leh – Sham Valley Excursion
After breakfast, proceed for a full-day Sham Valley sightseeing tour covering:
Sangam – Confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers
Magnetic Hill – A gravity-defying optical illusion
Gurudwara Patthar Sahib – Built in memory of Guru Nanak Dev Ji
Hall of Fame – Indian Army museum and war memorial
Spituk Monastery – One of the oldest monasteries in Ladakh
Return to the hotel by evening. Dinner and overnight stay in Leh.
Note: Vehicle charges will be extra for the Light & Sound Show at Hall of Fame (if opted in the evening).
Day 3: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass
Distance: Approx. 135 km | Duration: 5 hours
After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass (18,380 ft), one of the world’s highest motorable roads.
On arrival at Hunder (Nubra Valley), check-in at your camp/cottage and relax. Later visit:
White Sand Dunes, Hunder
Enjoy Double Hump Bactrian Camel Ride (optional, direct payment)
Nubra Valley is known for its orchards, wild roses, lavender fields, and unique desert landscape.
Dinner and overnight stay at the camp/cottage.
Day 4: Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Shayok Route
After breakfast, visit Diskit Monastery, famous for its giant Maitreya Buddha statue.
Later, proceed to Pangong Lake via the scenic Shayok Route.
Pangong Lake: A breathtaking high-altitude lake known for its crystal-clear blue waters, changing colours, and stunning mountain backdrop. The lake is also a habitat for migratory birds.
Upon arrival, check-in at the camps near Pangong Lake.
Dinner and overnight stay at the camps.
Alternate Route Note: If Shayok route is closed, travel will be via Warila Route (Extra charges approx. ₹4,000 for SUV / ₹7,000 for Traveller).
Day 5: Pangong Lake to Leh via Chang La Pass
Distance: Approx. 155 km
After breakfast, depart for Leh via Chang La Pass, one of the highest mountain passes in the region.
En-route visit:
Hemis Monastery – The largest and richest monastery in Ladakh
Thiksey Monastery – Resembling the Potala Palace of Tibet
Shey Palace – Ancient royal residence with a giant Buddha statue
Arrive in Leh by evening. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6: Departure from Leh
After breakfast, transfer to Leh Airport for your onward journey.
Tour Concludes with Sweet Memories of Ladakh.

- Heater charges/Oxygen cylinder
- Any cost arising due to natural calamities like, landslides, road blockage, political disturbances (strikes), etc. (to be borne by the client, who is directly payable on the spot)
- Any increase in Airlines taxes or fuel price at the time of departure, leading to increase in cost on surface transportation & land arrangements, which may come into effect prior to departure
